About
The Royal Pavilion is a neo-classical villa lavishly decorated in a chinoiserie style surrounded by glorious gardens. You may tour the Long Gallery, Banqueting Room Gallery, Saloon, Royal Bedrooms, Music Room Gallery and kitchen amongst others. The Royal Pavilion was built in three stages, between 1787 and 1823 for the then Prince Regent, later King George IV. It is built in the Indo-Saracenic style prevalent in India for most of the 19th century, and is also home to some of the finest collections and examples
of the chinoiserie style in Britain. The Royal Pavilion Tearoom, on the upper floor, serves food and drinks and has a balcony that overlooks the gardens.
